Some students from Union-Endicott High School are raising money for a local organization while paying homage to their Italian heritage. The U-E Italian Club held a pasta and meatball dinner Thursday night at the Sons of Italy Lodge in Endicott with proceeds benefiting the Mercy House of the Southern Tier.
Students, teachers, and volunteers served up pasta, meatballs, fresh Felix Roma bread, salad, and cake for dessert. The students sold 400 dinners and also offered baked goods like cookies and brownies. Italian Club President Gabriella Majka says the event is a fun way to support the community.
