Festa della Repubblica celebrated in Texas

On June 2, 2025, the Consulate General of Italy in Houston celebrated the 79th Anniversary of the Italian Republic with an official ceremony— a special occasion to honor Italian roots and culture.

On this occasion, Houston Mayor John Whitmire issued a proclamation, presented by Council Member Mary Nan Huffman and Mayor's Office of Trade and International Affairs, recognizing the significant contribution of the Italian community to the city of Houston and highlighting the importance of bilateral cooperation between Italy and the United States.

Katherine Ho, Regional Director of the Office of Foreign Missions, attended the ceremony, celebrating the excellent relations between the two countries and the positive impact of the Italian community in the United States. This commitment continues to strengthen cultural and diplomatic ties between Italy and America.

Consul General Mauro Lorenzini also participated in the June 1st celebrations in Dallas, organized by Vincenzo Arcobelli, a member of the General Council of Italians Abroad, underscoring the strong connection between the Italian communities in the United States.

The June 2nd celebrations are not only a moment to remember the birth of the Italian Republic, but also an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the invaluable contribution of our Italian community, which continues to strengthen the cultural and diplomatic bonds between our two countries.
