
A Cartersville manufacturing plant is planning a major expansion. Aquafil, a maker of yarns, polymers and plastics, will announce a $25 million expansion with 50-65 new jobs this afternoon at an event at the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce.
Italy-based Aquafil employs more than 2,000 people and has operations on three continents.
In addition to the plant in Catersville, Aquafil's other four BCF extrusion operation's are in Leuna, Germany; Arco di Trento, Italy; Ljubljana, Slovenia and Jiaxing, China.
