Amazon’s €150 million distribution center being built in Italy, in Passo Corese (near Fara in Sabina, in the province of Rieti), 30 km north of Rome, is on track to be completed by the fall, said Amazon’s Vice President for Europe operations, Roy Perticucci.
“The e-commerce market in Italy is still small, with a 5-7% share of the entire market compared to 15-20% in France and Germany,” Perticucci said. “But Italy has great growth potential, and the new center in Passo Corese is an important step forward in our growth process,” he said.
