Planning an escape to the Aeolian Islands in Sicily may conjure up images of sailboats, skippers and yacht charters. But for those who prefer to explore the islands by day – and sleep on dry land by night – the archipelago offers an array of charming hotels, resorts and catered apartments that will entice even the most discerning seafarers.
Andrea Vetrano, a luxury travel influencer based in Sicily, travels around the world seeking out the most exclusive accommodations and has shared some of his favorite places to stay in the archipelago below. “The Aeolian Islands are receiving more exposure not only because travelers are seeking further-flung destinations,” he says, “but because people are looking for beautiful hotels – and these islands are filled with them.”
