Café Capriccio in Albany received the New York State Empire Award on Monday. The Italian restaurant, which opened its doors in 1982, has become a staple in the Albany community. Senator Patricia Fahy presented the award to the restaurant alongside owner and chef Jim Rua and other state officials. Café Capriccio, located in a historic brownstone building on Grand Street, has been serving authentic Italian cuisine for over 40 years.
The New York State Empire Award honors businesses across the state that are leaders in their industry, employ innovative methods or products, increase job opportunities and foster economic growth, and cultivate partnerships within their community, while also promoting a culture of philanthropy.
