The Italian cruise industry is poised to continue its robust rebound. The forecast for 2025 confirms the momentum already noted during 2024, driven by sustained high demand.
Leading the national cruise ports is Civitavecchia, projected to welcome 3.6 million passengers. Trailing behind are Naples with an anticipated 2.1 million and Genoa with around 1.8 million. At the regional level, Lazio leads with 3.6 million cruise visitors, accounting for roughly 24% of the total. Liguria follows closely with 3.5 million (23%), and Campania secures third place at 2.1 million (14%). Other regions rounding out the rankings include Sicily with 2.1 million (14%), Tuscany with 1 million (7%), and Sardinia with approximately 750,000 (5%).
