A family-run Italian restaurant will open Tuesday in the West Village. Managed by sibling business partners Aida and Fernando Scarpati, the restaurant will offer a wholesome approach to Italian food at 15 Seventh Ave. South, between Carmine and Leroy Streets.
The restaurant will have a 35-seat dining room with exposed brick walls, granite tables, a sycamore tree top bar, and an outdoor seating area that can accommodate 20 guests. The eatery pays homage to the sibling's grandfather Ferdinando, who owned restaurants on the island of Ponza, Italy, before he moved to the United States and passed down a variety of family recipes.
