
The University of Connecticut’s Department of History invites nominations and applications for the Emiliana Pasca Noether Chair in Modern Italian History. The position will commence in Fall 2019. The successful candidate will be appointed at the rank of full professor or associate professor and will be eligible for tenure upon appointment. The Chair carries with it support for research, conferences, colloquia, and other activities.
Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to research and scholarship through high quality publications, participation in academic conferences, and involvement in research initiatives in their areas of expertise. They will be expected to be effective teachers of innovative courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, supervise PhD students, mentor students in research and professional development, and participate in outreach and service activities.
