Hello Grappa!, a new E.U.-funded promotional campaign designed to energize Americans around this sustainable Italian spirit, is hosting a cocktail contest and series of workshops on June 14, 15 and 16 to coincide with Bar Convent in New York. Though Grappa is often enjoyed neat, it is also an incredible addition to cocktails. Eight bartenders will showcase creative ways to incorporate it into mixed drinks at the Grappa Cocktail Contest on June 15 from 5 to 9 p.m. at HOMETOWN – Industry City in Brooklyn. Ten skilled bartenders will compete for fame and fortune (in the form of a $3,000 cash prize). Attendees can sample the cocktails and vote for their favorites while enjoying snacks and music.
