An Italian eatery specializing in cuisine from the northern region of the country opened its doors in Carroll Gardens earlier this month. Gersi, located at 316 Court St., took over the former location of Dosa Royale, which shuttered this past April.
The restaurant officially opened in July 7, said co-owner Gersi Mamega, who had spent more than a decade managing East Village eatery "Supper." This is the first restaurant for Mamega and his wife, Susannah, who live in the neighborhood.
