There’s nothing quite like a delicious seasonal pie. Especially when there’s a hefty splash of booze in the mix. But while it’s common to include sweet spirits like bourbon or flavored liqueurs, sparkling wine doesn’t usually enter the conversation of boozy pie ingredients. Until now, that is. Landing just in time for the holidays, RUFFINO Wines and Little Pie Company have collaborated to create the world’s “first-ever” Prosecco Pie.
The seasonal offering includes baked apples, brown sugar, and salted caramel, all of which are rounded off with RUFFINO Prosecco. The inspiration behind the unusual combo is Prosecco’s two most prominent flavors —apple and citrus— which Little Pie Company says blend seamlessly with the pie’s other ingredients.
