Located in downtown West Springfield and open since early 2016, bNapoli Italian has elevated its namesake style of dining to lofty new levels. Housed in a former copy shop and adjacent to a sister pizzeria, bNapoli is a space distinguished by its minimalist elegance. A soft-gray-dominated palette of fabrics and finishes sets off dramatic visual elements like the restaurant's towering, glass-enclosed wine cellar.
The menu expresses a 21st century perspective on Italian food. Starter choices include nibbles like Lamb Meatballs ($9) and Baccala Fritti (cod fritters -- $9) as well as heartier possibilities such as Grilled Octopus ($13) and an Eggplant Napoleon ($10). Among the kitchen's pasta efforts can be found Veal Bolognese ($22), Ricotta Gnocci ($22), and Porcini Risotto ($22).
