You don’t need to be a member of Soho House to dine at Cecconi’s — its first stand-alone restaurant in New York. Soho House & Co. is opening Cecconi’s in Dumbo this May on the ground floor of Empire Stores. The Northern Italian eatery — a magnet for celebrities like Halle Barry, Jennifer Lopez and Gwyneth Paltrow — originated in London.
Now, it has outposts in Miami Beach and West Hollywood as well as Berlin, Istanbul and Barcelona. The Dumbo space will span a massive 8,500 square feet. It will include a main dining room that seats 250, an outdoor terrace that seats 80, and a large, “eat-in” bar — all with views from Brooklyn Bridge Park and the East River to downtown Manhattan. The design will be handled by Soho House’s team.
