Craving whole roasted Sicilian-style pesce di giorno (fish of the day) and a glass of nice Portuguese wine? Find both at the new Spiga Cucina Italiana, which opened in mid-November at Pinnacle Peak and Miller roads in north Scottsdale.

The Mediterranean-themed, rustic-modern restaurant is the work of Toronto restaurateurs Paula and Fernando Esteves. This is their first Arizona venture, but the duo is well known in Canada for their landmark Spuntini Ristorante, which debuted nearly 25 years ago in Yorkville, a district in Toronto.
