Reimbelli will be making a special appearance, travelling from Italy to NYC especially for the Summer Fancy Food Show where he'll be on-hand demonstrating LIVE his signature dessert creation that combines Italy's most popular exports: chocolate and olive oil.
Reimbelli has developed a signature ganache that uses olive oil instead of dairy cream to create an ethereal taste experience. The result delivers extraordinary chocolate flavor and a show-stopping velvety texture.
"I'm so excited to share this taste sensation with attendees at the Summer Fancy Food Show," says Reimbelli. "Chocolate & olive oil are Italy's most popular culinary exports and using two of its finest brands, Perugina and Colavita, I've been able to create what I believe to be the next great taste sensation." With current consumer trends heavily focused on a combination of sweet and savory, Reimbelli's combination of Mediterranean flavor profiles seems like a sure bet. The ganache will be served with a single Baci confection.
Perugina will also be showcasing its newly debuted Double Layer Baci Perugina candy bar. Inspired by Perugina's signature Baci confection, the decadent bar combines Perugina's legendary Luisa Dark chocolate, made of 51% cacao, with a layer of gianduia (luscious milk chocolate, whipped and blended with ground hazelnuts) that is chock full of whole toasted hazelnuts. Just like the original Baci (the Italian word for "kisses"), which include a message of love inside each wrapper, Perugina's new Baci candy bar includes a special love note as an integral part of its packaging. A premium creation that engages the senses with a combination of flavors, the Baci Perugina Double Layer candy bar also combines a variety of textures: the crispy, snap of Luisa Dark, the smooth gianduia and the crunch of toasted hazelnuts. Each ingredient contributes to a truly indulgent chocolate experience. The bar weighs 5.2 ounces (150 grams) and is scored for easy breaking into seven individual serving pieces.
Perugina remains Italy's #1 brand of chocolate and America's leading authentic Italian chocolate brand with each and every product still 100% made in Italy. The company will be showcasing several new Baci products at the show in addition to previewing its 2014 Holiday Collection at the event.
