Un complesso termale romano di 500 metri quadrati, con ogni probabilità collegato a una lussuosa villa del I secolo, è stato scoperto a Tor Vergata, estrema periferia della Capitale, grazie a un progetto di scavo degli studenti dell'omonima Università, condotto in convenzione con la Sovrintendenza archeologica di Roma.
Nell'area, originariamente destinata all'edilizia residenziale ma che diventerà zona a verde, sono stati recuperati pregevoli stucchi dipinti ed elementi decorativi.
