WTI Magazine #62 2015 June, 12

Ciao from Rome! Today I'd like to celebrate with all our readers a wonderful achievement of We the Italians. At the speed of 25 news every day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, which actually is our publishing standard in our news roll right now, next week we will reach the goal of 20,000 contents published from day one on our website www.wetheitalians.com, included the 2,500 websites archived on We the Italians: the most complete repository of any non-commercial institution, association, group, foundation, OSIA lodge, UNICO chapter, College Department, museum, cultural center, festival that celebrates something Italian in the US.
When we began we had a vague idea of the wealth of the Italian American community in terms of contents, passion, activities ... but we did not imagine just how much! Now we know. Our readers maybe remember that at the beginning we had a calendar too, the only one regarding the whole 50 States, describing what daily happens regarding Italy in the US. We used to publish 30 events a day, but the other events we were forced to leave out were even more than that: so we decided to put it in stand-by, even if we're planning of working on it again and put it online, renewed and powered. But that's how the Italian American community is active: dozens of events every day, to celebrate Italy in America. An incredible wave of love for Italy.
About celebrating Italy, we strongly encourage you to take a look at this new video from the Italian Ministries for Economic Development and for Agriculture and the Italian Trade Agency ICE, called "The Extraordinary Italian Taste": we're sure you'll like it as much as we did.
As always, also in our 62nd issue of this magazine we will wonder through different Italian regions to take a look at some of the beautiful excellences of a few Regions of our beloved country: in our Land and Nature column we tell you how to travel Italy by camper, maybe while tasting one of the Italian myths of our The Italian Way column: coffee! Where will we go this time? Veneto, for its Traditions in Conegliano; Sicilia, for the Culture and History in the Val di Noto; Puglia, with the Flavor of Altamura bread; Marche, with the handcrafts of shoemaking in Macerata; Toscana, with the panzanella recipe of its Cuisine and the Sangiovese Wine; Molise, with the small town of Oratino; Friuli Venezia Giulia, where our Great Italian of the Past, Primo Carnera, was born; Lombardia, with the Art of Accademia Carrara in Bergamo and another wonderful content of Expo 2015; Valle d'Aosta, with the beautiful garden of Entrebin Arboretum; Lazio, where our student abroad spent our National Day on June 2, comparing it with the 4th of July in the US. That's just a tiny preview of all you will find in this issue of We the Italians magazine!
Before to say goodbye, let me remind you the awesome opportunity given by the partnership between John Cabot University and We The Italians: two brand new Italian-American Heritage Scholarship. You can find the specifics in this previous editorial, or you can contact admissions@johncabot.edu for more information.
That's all for now. So stay tuned, fasten your seat belt and enjoy the ride. The future's so bright, we gotta wear shades!
