The Order of the Sons and Daughters of Italy, Christoforo Colombo Lodge #1309, in Salida, is offering a $500 Scholarship to a Salida High School or Horizons Academy Senior.  The scholarship deadline is April 25, 2025. If you’re Italian and graduating from Salida High School or Horizons Exploratory Academy this spring, listen up — there’s a scholarship for you, but you’ll need to act now.

The Sons of Italy offers a scholarship every spring to high school graduates to be used towards college or a trade/vocational School. Students must be graduating this May 2025 and must be of Italian heritage. They are being asked to complete a personal statement, giving a brief history of their Italian heritage, why they are proud to be Italian-Americans, and why they deserve the scholarship.
