Sons of Italy awards 3 scholarships

Sons Of Italy Lodge #2780 awarded three scholarships for 2014 in a June 6 meeting at St. Anastasia Church. The lodge supports the scholarships through various fundraising activities during the year including group dinners, group trips, raffles and an annual bocce tournament held in spring at the St Augustine Pier.
This year's recipients were Thomas Hodge, Margaret Suzanne Leach and Christopher Leland. Hodge graduated from St. Augustine High School and will attend the University of Central Florida to study civil/construction engineering.
