Marco's Coal-Fired Pizza, the Denver-based award-winning pizzeria restaurant with locations in the Ballpark District and Inverness, announced today it is changing its name to Racca's Pizzeria Napoletana. The name change, and new brand identity, come as a result of the restaurant's desire to further embrace its authentic Italian pizza-making methods and demonstrate its passion for Neapolitan pizza.
In August, the restaurant under its former name was selected by Pizza Today magazine as the 2015 Independent Pizzeria of the Year, a prominent industry award. Co-founders and proprietors Mark and Kristy Dym opened the first location near Coors Field in 2008, then its Englewood/Inverness location in 2011.
