Boston has seen a bevy of Italian restaurant openings over the last several months, and these plates full of pasta (and seafood, and sfizi, and...) definitely demand your attention. Here are some of the genre's hottest new openings, from the North End (naturally) to South Boston.
Antonio's Bacaro. The team behind Sophia's Grotto — a quaint, standout Italian restaurant in Roslindale — have just rolled out a sibling in a similarly sleepy corner of the city. Antonio's soft-opened in early June in Hyde Park's Cleary Squar and has been quietly offering dinner service Tuesdays–Fridays since; expect full hours to be announced soon. But if you can make it over on a weeknight, swing by for an early peek at the Old World-style ciccetti paired with fine wines at affordable price points.
