I'm a big fan of garlic. And it's a good thing, too. My partner, Barbara, comes from Sicilian roots. She grew up eating the cooking of her immigrant grandmother and lived for a time in Italy. She really likes garlic. With those biases in mind, I suggested we try Ma Raffa's in New Bedford for dinner recently.

The cozy Italian eatery is located in a corner building at the intersection of Rockdale Avenue and Circuit Street, with doors leading to both. Those doors got quite a workout the Friday night we were there, with a steady flow of foot traffic picking up takeout orders.
