A new Italian restaurant is opening in a SoNo space that has been empty since 2020. Ciao! Ristorante and Bar SoNo, which is set to open during the first week of March at 68 Washington St., offers a variety of Italian specialties. The restaurant replaces Local Kitchen & Beer Bar's Norwalk location, which closed on July 31, 2020.
The menu includes items like chicken parmigiana, rigatoni alla vodka, roasted cauliflower, lobster ravioli and veal parmigiana. The bar at the eatery serves handcrafted cocktails, including Gin Blossom (Tanqueray Gin, St. Germain, white cranberry juice and club soda), Blood Orange Cosmo (Effen Blood Orange Vodka, triple sec and a splash of orange juice) and Blueberry Basil Bourbon (Jim Beam Bourbon, simple syrup, blueberry purée, fresh basil and lemon juice.)
