Woburn-based Italian restaurant TreMonte has opened an outpost in the heart of Boston’s Italian dining neighborhood. The new North End restaurant at 76 Salem St. took the place of Limoncello 2 and kicked off business earlier this month serving a full menu of antipasti, pasta, parmigiana, and more.
Owner and chef Antony Contarino operates the original TreMonte location in Woburn, plus two locations of TreMonte Pizzeria — a more casual, bar-oriented offshoot — in Lowell and Tyngsborough, the latter of which opened last November. As for expanding to Boston, he previously told Eater, “the space was great and my family is from the North End. I figured I ought to take the shot now while I have the opportunity.”
