
Il Cortile Welcomes Sister Italy
On Thursday November 7, 2013 at 7 pm, Il Cortile Restaurant, "The 38 year Mulberry Street Legend" at 125 Mulberry Street, New York City, presents a night dedicated to authentically traditional old style cuisine from Puglia, as featured in the successful comedic film, Sister Italy. A screening of the film will accompany the dinner. Several figures from the Italian culinary and cultural arenas will be honored for their contributions to Italian heritage.
They are:
Cavaliere Vivian Cardia, whose family owned Beatrice Inn, one of oldest restaurants in the city. Vivian was one of first Italian-American women to work on the floor of a major stock exchange, and she sit on the boards of: John Cabot University, American Society of The Legions of Italian Merit; and the House of Savoy whom she was named Dame;
