After 15 years in North Utica, Aqua Vino Restaurant and Bar is ready to start another chapter in its new home at 8655 Clinton St. in New Hartford, the former Outback Steakhouse. The Italian restaurant hosts its grand opening Monday, Jan. 23, and will operate in a larger dining area, spacious bar and extended menu.
Owner Robert Esche said the move comes after the lease at the North Utica location expired and the restaurant ownership and landlord were not on the same terms. News of the move came in late November. Over the holidays, the new location underwent renovations to be ready to open in January. The old Aqua Vino location at 16 Harbor Lock Road will remain closed with Roser Development planning to take over and open a new eatery in the spring.
