Patrons at Sac’s Place in Astoria will be eating for a good cause on April 30, as the restaurant hosts an annual fundraiser to support local HIV/AIDS service organizations.
The Italian eatery is owned by brothers Anthony and Domenico Sacramone, whose roots in the Abruzzo region inspire their food ethos. The location at Kaufman-Astoria Studios opened at the end of January, but the family has been slinging pizza pies since 1989, when they worked out of a shop on Broadway and 29th Street.
