The gist: Brooklyn restaurant-hopping chef Angelo Romano (The Pines, Masten Lake) has surfaced at this new Italian-American inspired eatery in Kips Bay, owned by Drena and Tim Gashi of GL Hospitality Group.
The space: The 45-seat spot was designed by Josh Held and sports an industrial look with reclaimed wood, retractable garage doors and warehouse windows. There's an open kitchen so you can catch a glimpse of the action (and a gorgeous copper ceiling), a wall papered in Scopa playing cards (an Italian game), and a side window for takeout pizza slices (check out slice shop menu below).
