It's of the best kept secrets in New York. Nowhere else in the world you can dine alongside ambassadors, senior officials and other international dignitaries, right in the heart of the city with sweeping panoramic views of the East River, Queensboro Bridge, Roosevelt Island and the Long Island City water front. The Delegates Dining Room, on the 4th floor of the UN Building, is really a special place. Next week this "secret gem" in the heart of Manhattan will "speak" Italian.
A festival entirely devoted to Italian food and wines of the highest quality has been organized by the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations, from the 7th to the 11th of December. The occasion wants to mark the sixtieth anniversary of the day, December 14 1955, when Italy was officially admitted to the General Assembly.
