At the end of this month venerable Italian restaurant, Alfredo 100, will move into the space at 7 E. 54th St. vacated in December by Bice, which closed after a protracted financial struggle.
Alfredo 100 is owned by Russell Bellanca, who lost the lease last year in Rockefeller Center for Alfredo of Rome, the restaurant he'd opened in 2001. The new name honors Alfredo's Roman heritage: Mr. Bellanca has a licensing agreement with the original Alfredo in Italy, which is 100 years-old this year.
