Located at 57 West 10th Street in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village, Osteria 57 is a neighborhood gem. Opened since September 2017, the intimate restaurant is meat and poultry free, but offers authentic Italian cuisine that uniquely combines traditional hearty dishes with handmade pasta, delectable fish and garden-grown vegetables, resulting in the most tasty and innovative food in the city.
The Knockturnal was recently invited to Osteria 57 to taste their latest menu that left us very full and satisfied. Starting with the burrata as an appetizer, the cheese was prepared with braised leeks, roasted apples, and walnut pesto. It was extremely light, yet filling and milky at the same time. It was incredible and the perfect dish to start out our evening dinner.
