Francesco Panella, the restaurateur behind Italian restaurant Antica Pesa, opened three concepts at once in the Moxy hotel in Chelsea in conjunction with nightlife hitmakers Tao Group: Feroce Caffe, Feroce Risorante, and Bar Feroce. They all serve variations of Italian food. The cafe is located on the first floor with coffee, pastries, and sandwiches.
The restaurant, also on the ground floor, has indoor and outdoor seating and serves both classic and modern Italian dishes, including pastas and seafood. There’s also a cocktail program and an extensive list of grappa and amaro, which are all offered by the glass or in tastings of three and six. The bar, located on the second floor with an all-season terrace that has bocce, serves Roman-style pizzas and other shareable Italian bar snacks. 105 West 28th St., near Sixth Avenue
