In Sicily, island life is a vestige of the past–people move languidly under the beating sun; fishermen haul in their catches only for the fish to reappear, moments later, on your plate; and crumbling archeological ruins peek out from secret corners.

In the Tyrrhenian sea there are the Aeolian Islands, counting the Seven Sisters islands and Ustica; in front of the Trapani coast, the Egadi islands; and then, suspended between Europe and Africa, Pantelleria, the daughter of the wind, and Lampedusa with its beaches among the most beautiful in the world. Each one as unique and fascinating as the next, Sicily’s Islands are all certainly worth visiting–use this itinerary as a guide to each one, or spend a few weeks hopping between them.
