The lunch break with a sandwich and coffee, perhaps just a few steps away from the office, remains a popular habit among workers in Italy. It's often seen as a more convenient option compared to bringing lunch from home, but it can also vary in cost depending on the city.
A new survey on the average spending of Italians for a sandwich and coffee, comparing both the minimum and maximum prices, examined twenty major Italian cities. The study looked at 2024 prices and compared them with those from 2023, highlighting Italians' evolving habits, especially their increasing comfort with cashless payments.
