The ethnic communities of Niagara Falls' glorious past are the subject of a new series of books produced by our Italian Research Group at the Lewiston Public Library. In 2014, we published the first history of Niagara Falls' Italians, "Buon Appetito; Niagara's early Italian-American culinary traditions."
We have continued with our Italian theme and at 6 p.m. on Monday at the Lewiston Public Library, we will be launching yet another book, "The Italians of Niagara Falls (gli Italiani delle cascade del Niagara), Volume I." This new book, which is comprised of the contributions of numerous Niagara Falls Italians, includes the stories of our families, local businesses, personal memories of times past, gritty poetry, photographs and recipes.
