The prestigious Sala Caduti di Nassirya in the Italian Senate hosted the “Energie Siciliane per Roma" Awards ceremony, highlighting the remarkable contributions of Sicilian leaders who have enriched Rome's cultural and professional landscape. The event featured prominent participation from the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America national leadership.

Joseph Sciame, President of the Sons of Italy Foundation, and Michael G. Polo, National President of OSDIA, both of Sicilian descent, delivered their addresses via videoconference that emphasized the international perspective of Sicilian influence and achievement. OSDIA's 3th Vice President Mark De Nunzio also offered a brief greeting. Their participation underlined the strong bonds between Italy and Italian-American communities worldwide.

Among the distinguished honorees was Carmelo Cutuli, President of “Capitolo di Roma” Chapter of the OSDIA, recognized for his outstanding role in maintaining and promoting Sicilian cultural heritage in Rome. The jury, chaired by Architect Patrizia Bernardette Berardi, praised Cutuli for "representing Sicilian values and traditions while fostering meaningful connections in the Capital of Italy."

The ceremony, organized under the patronage of Senator Antonio De Poli, brought together 21 notable figures from various fields, including Rosario Valastro, President of the Italian Red Cross, and Giuseppe Tripoli, Secretary General of Unioncamere, Hon. Stefania Prestigiacomo (award collected by Urania Giulia Papatheu), Concetto Parisi, President of Fondo Conoscenza, Maria Rita Caserta, Sacra Rota Lawyer,  Monsignor Renzo Giuliano, Primicerius of the Archconfraternity of Santa Maria Odigitria. Prof. Enzo Siviero of eCampus University, one of the world's most renowned bridge engineers, born in the Veneto region, has been presented with the "siciliano ad honorem” award.

Notable institutional support came from the European Center for Cultural Studies, the Venerable Archconfraternity of Santa Maria Odigitria of Sicilians in Rome, OSDIA, the italiani.it Foundation, and CESTI.eu. The event was broadcast live on the Senate's WebTV and YouTube channels, reaching audiences worldwide.
