The world of recycling and sustainability in Italy continues to reveal wonderful stories of excellence, resilience, and innovation. The first comes from Vicenza, in Veneto, where the company SICIT is teaching the world how to protect the environment and transform waste products into natural fertilizers for agriculture through the circular economy.
The company collects and transforms waste and by-products from the tanning industries in Vicenza, creating biodegradable and environmentally safe products used in agriculture (biostimulants) and green building (gypsum retardants), while also reducing waste. This innovative method also saves on water and chemical products. The company uses only renewable electricity, which it produces on-site, for its plants.
