The outskirts of Rome are changing thanks to street art. After 70 days of work, 756 liters of paint and 974 spray cans, the project "Big city life Tor Marancia" was inaugurated last week.
The social housing site of this Southern neighborhood of Rome, in Via di Tor Marancia 63, far from the city center, has been transformed into a colorful open-air museum. Eleven buildings were used as canvas for 20 monumental murals of contemporary art, 14 meters high and with an area of 145 square meters each, for a total of 2,610 square meters.
