There have been news here and there about geothermal beer in the past. A story is now being picked up by Bloomberg on Vapori di Birra or Steam Beer, a beer created by a retired energy technician of Enel in Lardarello, Italy.

Going into retirement he followed up on a passion of his, a beer “produced entirely with steam power”. Starting in 2013, Edo Volpi, has now been running his brewery for the past six years growing it into an international business and at the same time seeing itself in a role to help build eco-tourism in Tuscany, Italy.
