Hurricane Irma was the strongest Atlantic basin hurricane ever recorded outside the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. It has forced the evacuation of 6.3 million Floridians, has left nearly 6 million homes and businesses without power, and has caused billions of dollars in damages—many of those affected are our own OSDIA brothers and sisters.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of Florida at this traumatic time,” said OSDIA National President Vera Ferrara Girolami. “It is so disheartening to see such a destructive hurricane strike their beautiful state with such a disastrous impact.”
Please support our brothers and sisters in Florida at this critical time. Donate to the Sons of Italy Foundation (SIF) Disaster Relief Fund to help the State of Florida recover from this disaster. All donations to this fund are tax-deductible.
