
Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 7:00 pm. New Season's Market, 7703 SW Nyberg Street, Tualatin OR. Andrea Scasso, host of The Italian Hour and board member at the Associazione Culturale Italiana di Portland, will speak at our monthly event in February.
He will discuss the Italian Film Festival in Portland and how the Associazione Culturale acts as the local committee for the Italian Film Festival USA Organization in collaboration with Portland State University’s Department of World Languages. He will share Portland’s Italian Film Festival picks for April 2020!
Andrea was born and raised in Trieste, Italy. After high school, he served in the Italian Air Force. Soon after he came to Portland in 1991 to study Computer Science at the University of Portland and has been in the area since. Back in 1994, he started organizing Italian movie nights. This interest continued until today as a board member of the Italian Cultural Association of Portland that organizes the Italian Film Festival of Portland. Andrea is also the host of the Italian Hour music program on KBOO. Andrea has two teenage boys with whom he enjoys going back to Italy every summer to visit their family including their 98-year-old great-grandma.
