Two psychologists, one a town native, will be at the library next month to discuss their new book on Italian-American women and their fathers. "Daughters, Dads, and the Path Through Grief: Tales from Italian America," focuses on the stories of 51 women from around the country who have dealt with the death of their father.
Authors Donna DiCello and Lorraine Mangione are both of Italian descent. The women will be at the Southington Library, 255 Main Street, on July 13 at 6:30 p.m. DiCello, who grew up in Bridgeport, is a licensed clinical psychologist and assistant clinical professor at Yale University School of Medicine. Mangione, a Southington native, is a professor and director of practica in the Department of Clinical Psychology at Antioch University New England in New Hampshire.
