After being spurned by his childhood sweetheart as a young man in Procida, Italy, Nico Dioguardi decides to abandon his life there and enter the U.S. through unknown relatives in Brooklyn. His past, however, haunts him in unexpected ways, forcing several return trips to his Procida and prompting complications that impact his family, who fall victim to his struggles.

The Dioguardi family’s subsequent story of grief, hope, and survival is narrated through the voice and perspective of Nico’s daughter, Ana, who soon learns that a well-kept family secret is waiting to be discovered. “Where You End, I Begin” is a sweeping multi-generational saga detailing the hardships, culture, and relationships of several Italian immigrant families who arrived in New York during the early 20th century and how their choices affected the lives of those who loved them.

The book transports the reader from WWII Italy into the rough, gritty world of living in New York City during the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Available through Amazon, BarnesandNoble.com, and other online book retailers, “Where You End, I Begin” is the first novel from Rossana Weitekamp, a first-generation Italian-American and native New Yorker. A 30-year public relations strategist, Rossana is also the author of “Who Cooks For You?”, a children’s book illustrated by her son, Joseph Weitekamp.  Rossana is also the recipient of several New York Press Association awards for feature writing and breaking news photography.

Charles Casillo, celebrity biographer and author of “Marilyn: The Private Life of a Public Icon” and “Elizabeth and Monty: The Untold Story of Their Intimate Friendship”, commented, ”With a large cast of colorful characters mixed with historical data “Where You End’, I Begin is an absorbing read that digs deep into the characters' inner lives and it will keep you turning pages to the dramatic conclusion.”
