Rita's Italian Ice scoops first of 20 Minnesota locations

A Pennsylvania-based Italian ice franchise with more than 600 stores in 23 states opened its first Minnesota location in Eagan this month.
Rita's Italian Ice is made of ice and fresh fruit and available in 65 flavors. The company also makes cream ice (they frown upon calling it ice cream), frozen custard, milkshakes, custard cakes and gelati, the company's Italian ice and frozen custard product (not to be confused with gelato).
